Hello,
I have been reading your blog for some time now, well ever since my sister (Elsa) linked you to her blog. I just wanted to let you know that the pictures you posted of 37 military hospital brought back so many memories. It is amazing how after 20years a picture made it so vivid.
It transported me back to when I will walk from 37 towards Flag Staff House under the trees. I use to talk to the trees gave them all names and asked them to protect me as I walked that route countless times for my daily penicillin injection course at 37. where heavy handed military personal with no bed side manner gave injections as if they were shooting a target. I was 5years old, back then Accra was safe enough for a little girl to make the journey from Nigeria flats to 37 armed with nothing but an injection card.
Maybe they memories were not all that pleasant however with your blog I keep living in Accra. Keep it up and some pictures of Madina the mosque will be nice too. Maybe that will let me tell you about the time I decided to become a Muslim and learn Arabic during a summer vacation.
Thanks again for bringing back memories of my beloved Ghana.
Pearlsa
